H1 Flange forges flanges. These are the types buyers usually name on an inquiry.
Weld neck
A weld neck flange has a long hub and is butt-welded to the pipe.
Slip-on
The pipe slips into the flange, then the joint is welded.
Socket weld
Used on smaller pipe. The pipe sits in a socket and is fillet welded.
Threaded
The joint is screwed, not welded.
Lap joint
Used with a stub end. The flange itself is not welded to the pipe.
Blind
A blind flange closes the end of a pipe or a vessel nozzle.
Custom forged
A flange made to a drawing when the type is not one of the standard shapes above.
The governing standard and the drawing decide the exact dimensions.
